Privacy Policy and Data Protection (GDPR/LGPD)

1. Data collected in the form

For registration we collect only the contact email — the sole detail required at the time of payment — plus the time zone, auto-filled via the browser. Later, in the logged-in area, we collect: full name, country of residence, ID type, ID number, contact phone, project name, project description, project URL and YouTube URL.

For the University category we also collect, also in the logged-in area: name of the educational institution, year/grade, and proof of enrollment.

2. Data usage and technology stack

Data is collected for event administration, communication, and evaluation. The platform uses Next.js, a Neon database, and Vercel hosting.

For operation, we rely on the following third-party processors: Stripe (for secure payment processing) and Resend (for sending email OTPs).

3. Transparency and historical records

The IOOVC publicly displays, in real time on the landing page, the number of registered participants for the current edition.

For transparency and portfolio purposes, winning projects (and the names of their creators) will be retained and publicly displayed in the past-events section of the website.

4. Data subject rights

Users may access, correct, and update their data directly via the logged-in area. Requests to completely delete personal data during the competition will result in immediate disqualification, with no refund of the fees paid.
